CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY 2012

A wonderful day was had by all who attended the 2012 Panarcadian Children’s Christmas Party. The children (and adults) were joined by Magic Tony and a very creative face painter. Party food, balloons and dancing were all on the agenda for the day. Approximately 30 children attended from 1-12 yrs. Father Christmas didn’t forget us either this year making a quick appearance to give the children their presents.

PANARCADIAN MOTHER’S DAY DINNER 5th MAY 2012

A wonderful time was had by all at the recent Mother’s Day dinner held at the club rooms of the Panarcadian Association of Melbourne and Victoria ‘O Kolokotronis’.

A great atmosphere was created by Chris Marris, who specialises in solo music performances; he joined us with his guitar to play our favourite tunes.  Everyone sang along and thoroughly enjoyed his music and his humour. The surprise of the night was a very generous gift donated by Theo Kanatas of Juggernaut Entertainment, a second generation Arcadian, of two tickets to each Mother to the Marinella and Natasha Theodoridou concert on 9th June, 2012.  A total of $1,150 was raised through the auction of several tickets, the Committee donated an additional $850, making the total $2,000, all proceeds will be donated to Agapi Care.

We sincerely thank Theo and the members of ‘O Kolokotronis’ for their generous contribution.

PANARCADIANS OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA

We were very fortunate to have had the pleasure in hosting a large group of Panarcadians from South Australia on 4-5 February 2012. Fifty-four of our South Australian Panarcadian family joined us for dinner at the Panarcadian Club rooms on Saturday 4th Feb. It was fabulous to be able to meet them and form a long lasting bond with people we have so much in common with. Together we celebrated the of Theodoros Kolokotronis at Agion Istin in Northcote. Together we laid wreaths in his memory. United Arcadians!

The President of the Panarcadians of South Australia presented us with a beautiful engraved sterling silver ice bucket.

We thank them for making the journey to Melbourne and we hope to be able to join them in South Australia in the near future.
